Twin Springs Farm is a 76 acre farm located in Nelson County Virginia. We use ecological farming practices, and support sustainable agriculture methods and do not use harmful herbicides or pesticides. Our growing method includes the use of compost, cover crops, compost tea, foliar feeding with fish emulsion and sea minerals. We use limited amounts of OMRI approved organic fertilizers such as fish meal and mineral supplements. We grow Blueberries, Strawberries and other produce that we provide through direct market, farm markets, and wholesale. We have salad greens available year around utilizing unheated high tunnels during the fall and winter months.We have limited pick your own (PYO) Blueberries & Strawberries which runs from early June through late July depending upon weather conditions and availability, please call for appointment. We currently attend the Lexington and Nelson Farm Markets. We are members of Virginia Association for Biological Farming (VABF) and Southern Sustainable Agricultural Working Group (SSAWG).
